Sometimes, yes. Your council must give you a free care needs assessment if you appear to need care. If you qualify, a financial assessment follows, and in England savings and assets below £23,250 usually mean the council contributes. Ask adult social care in your borough, or ask us and we will point you to the right team.

Yes. If the council has assessed you or the person you care for and you receive a direct payment or personal budget, you can spend it with any registered provider you choose, including us. We help with the paperwork.

People with significant ongoing health needs may qualify for NHS Continuing Healthcare, which can cover the full cost of home care. Attendance Allowance is not means tested and helps many people over State Pension age with care costs. Your GP, district nurse or social worker can start these conversations, and we are happy to help you prepare.

Often, yes. A few visits a day at home usually costs less than a residential placement, and couples avoid paying for two care home places. Just as important, you keep your own home, routine and community. We will always tell you honestly if we think a different kind of care would serve you better.

Three steps. Call us and tell us what would help. We visit for a free care needs assessment at a date and time you choose, and you receive your written plan and quotation. Then care begins, usually within 24 hours of your assessment.

Quickly. Care can usually start within 24 hours of your assessment. Call us as early as you can, especially around a hospital discharge, and we will plan the start around you.

Yes. Many families first call us when someone is coming home from hospital. Our convalescence care picks up where the hospital or the council reablement service leaves off. Call as early as you can and we will plan around the discharge date.

We work from two offices: Barking, covering the eight North East London boroughs, and Halifax, covering Calderdale and West Yorkshire. If you are on the edge of these areas, call and ask. If we cannot reach you reliably, we will tell you straight away.

Yes. Both our offices are registered with the Care Quality Commission for the regulated activity of personal care, provider ID 1-20633815130. Like many newer providers we are awaiting our first inspection, and we will show you our first inspection report the day it is published. You can check our registration on cqc.org.uk.

We speak your language: English, Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto, Hindi and Gujarati among others. Ask for a carer who speaks your language, and use the language menu at the top of this website to read it in yours.

Yes. We provide compassionate palliative personal care for people living with a serious or life limiting illness, and at the end of life, working alongside your GP, district nurses and hospice team, who lead the medical side. We also provide convalescence care: support to recover at home after a hospital stay, an operation or an illness, until your strength and confidence are back.

Yes. A carer can be awake in the home all night, sleep in and be on hand if needed, or live in full time. Nights and live in care are quoted personally as part of your written quotation.

We are a small team, and we build the rota so the same two or three carers come to you wherever possible. Familiar faces are half the value of home care, and we take that seriously.

Visits start from 15 minutes, which is useful for a medicines prompt or a safe and well check, and go up to an hour or more.

We are not a nursing agency and we do not provide nursing or medical treatment. Our registration also does not include specialist services for people whose presenting need is a direct result of a learning disability or autism. If that is the care you need, we will say so honestly and point you in the right direction.
